Except for the "Syllable Division Practice" word lists, these are samples from the lists available from the new edition of Drill Bits binder. These can be especially useful If youwork with these six kinds of syllables in programs such as Orton-Gillingham programs.

Syllable Division Practice -- Assorted Multisyllable Words

    1. List 1 - assorted words from Catherine Called Birdy (all syllable types, various "special categories")
    2. List 2 first five syllable types, & some special categories (-tion, -al, etc); no vowel digraphs
    3. List 3 Focus on v/cv and vc/cv
    4. List 4 Focus on v/cv and vc/cv - some one-syllable (e.g. "robbed")
    5. List 5 Focus on scared vs. scarred and -ation words
    6. List 6 hard decoding, medium vocabulary
    7. List 7 hard decoding, hard vocabulary
